I've Been A Bad, Bad Girl

Well Christ on a cracker!  It's been quite a few days since I've logged a blog entry and I just bet you've been waiting on pins and needles. Am I right?  

Had I disappeared?  Was I full if shit and really don't have the veritable plethora of nerd shirts that I've claimed to own?  Have I blog-faded due to boredom?  NOPE!  Just went on a weekend to visit some fam and then got hyper mega ultra busy with work and such.  Never you fear!  I'm back and better than ever!

Speaking of which, I've been super lazy then sick then busy then lazy then busy so needless to say, I haven't been working out as much as I should.  I've also been enjoying delectable (meaning bad for you) foods and refreshing (meaning alcoholic) drinks as well. Soooooooo tonight as I chill in a big ass comfy hoodie that I borrowed from a friend her liked her AC down wayyyy too low a few years back and enjoy a Greek yogurt I've decided that it's back on the straight and narrow starting tomorrow morning. I'm thinking a nice two-miler before work. That's a good starting point I think!

Are YOU Suggesting Coconuts Migrate?

Since I've been at Casa de Madre's since yesterday, I've been feeling nostalgic.  

Most of my life I've felt like a bit of an outsider.  Even my sense of humor has always been a little "off".  When I was in Jr. High, while most kids were entertained by TGIF, I was (figuratively) laughing my head off watching Fawlty Towers, The Young Ones and Monty Python's Flying Circus.  I know that many think that the Parrot Sketch is played out at this point, but I think it's hilarious!  Right at this second, as I type this entry, I can hear "THIS is an EX-PARROT!" in my head. 

Since I have an obvious love for Monty Python is goes without saying that I absolutely adore "Monty Python and the Holy Grail".  It's a brilliant comedy that does not take itself seriously at all. Genius. Pure genius.  It's quotable and highly re-watchable.  If you haven't seen it then you've lived under a rock since 1975.  Sorry!  Didn't mean to get all judgmental there. Or did I?  

 

Mas Cerveza Por Favor!

Not gonna lie....I'm the kinda gal who likes a nice unfiltered hefeweizen.  I also like a good ghost story.  Seems like two random things, I know.  But really it's not! 

In Savannah FREAKIN', GA is a place where you can get a delicious micro-brewed beverage made of barley & hops, an amazing blue cheese bacon burger, outrageous sweet potato fries as well as a scary tale or two.  You see....the joint is haunted!   It was even featured on Ghost Adventures so you know it's legit. Right? 

Freakin' Cheeseheads!

It seems like a century ago that I had one of the coolest jobs ever!  I mean how can getting paid to travel to interesting places, meeting wacky characters on a daily basis, being given a corporate AmEx card which could be used to wine & dine staff members and then hang out with some of your best friends while in the office be anything other than fandamntastic? 

So this one time...at awesome job...we were surprised by a trip to Wisconsin for a football game. The next day, hungover and exhausted, I got this shirt and a package of cheese curd to snack on whilst stuck in the damned airport thanks to some sort of delay.  I mean what the hell else is there to do in Wisconsin?  

Did You Learn NOTHING From My Chemistry Class?

Today I found a little gift to myself in my mailbox & damn near squealed with delight when I saw the blue plastic TeeFury envelope as soon as I swung the door wide open!  However, there was no friggin' way THAT I wasn't going to rush up to my apartment with the package.  HELL!  I ripped into that bad boy the second I stepped foot into my apartment and immediately changed out of my work clothes and into the latest and greatest nerd shirt in my collection.  

So much for keeping it virgin until finale night.

Demons Lie

Last year, thanks to the flu, I managed to mainline something like 28 seasons of Supernatural right before the past season started. What I like about the show is the fact that it's a healthy mix of monster of the week and series-based mythology.  Also, yeah we have to deal with gratuitous Sammy Winchester shirtlessness from time to time, but for the most part it does not look or feel like a CW show.  

UGH!  Now I have visions of that terrible Arrow (Too much insane sexual tension between Oliver & his annoying sister.) and The Vampire Diaries (Vampires can move around in the day thanks you special jewelry...REALLY?!?!?).  Now indeed to go give my brain a good scrubbing with something decent to make the memories of bad bad TV go away.
